STAY TUNED FOR OUR GRAND OPENING DATE!

Play! Learn! Grow!

Play! Learn! Grow! Groups are designed to give children of varying abilities a place to develop wholistically. Following the natural rhythms of our world, each session will use the seasons of the year, its climate, holidays, celebrations, and stories to create an environment that supports a child’s discovery of their unique Self and promotes their engagement with the world around them. Through play and exploration, art and music, and story and response children will have opportunities to … Play! Learn! And Grow!

Groups are limited in size to 6 children per session and intended for preschool-aged children, ages 3 – 5, who are potty trained. While we welcome children with diverse abilities, we are unable to provide 1:1 assistance to individual children with complex needs. However, we welcome caregivers who can accompany and support a child with their needs during the full Group session.

Sessions will be 3 hours on Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings, and last for 9 – 10 weeks. A full schedule will be provided with registration. (Summer Session will begin June 3, 2024 and end August 2, 2024.)

In addition to providing a supportive environment for children with varying sensory, physical, and learning needs, Teacher Carol is fluent in American Sign Language and is able to support the needs of Deaf/Hard of Hearing children and/or children with language development needs.

About the Educator

Play! Learn! Grow! Group Time is led by Carol Flegal. Carol holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon and has extensive experience teaching in the field of Early Childhood Education. She has taught at the New Mexico School for the Deaf as well as worked alongside other Special Ed professionals in Early Childhood settings providing services for both typically developing preschoolers and those with diverse abilities. Carol believes “Play is the work of Children” as Maria Montessori wrote and understands that play gives children opportunities to practice what they are learning. Through open-ended, playful exploration and modeling Carol gives children focused practice in the areas of language development and social-emotional development to preschoolers of all abilities.
